The Painted Violins 2011

The power and beauty of art and music joined forces this spring at the Minnesota Orchestra’s Symphony Ball. The Painted Violins were featured in the Symphony Ball’s silent auction on June 25, 2011. All proceeds benefited the Minnesota Orchestra. Only five violins were available for bidding, making each a very special and distinctive item for homes. WAMSO was thrilled to have these very special works of art available to help raise funds for the Orchestra.

Participating artists for this fundraiser included: Mary Ingebrand-Pohland, Carolyn Brunelle, Bailey Cahlander, Pegge Meyer and Virginia Randolph Bueide (www.vrbart.com).

Special thanks to Eckroth Music Company, A to G Music and Davenport Instrumental Repair for supplying the “canvases” for our talented artists!
